What is MYC?

MYC stands for Music for Young Children. It is a music education method that has just celebrated its 40 year!

MYC is more than just piano lessons. It is an education that can take students anywhere. Whether they continue in guitar, or clarinet, or piano, MYC provides a firm foundation that will see them through.

In our classes we study:

Note Recognition on Treble and Bass Clefs

Sight Reading

Rhythm

Ear Training

Composition

These concepts are taught through singing and learning to play piano.

This program is designed to give a firm foundation that will build to Moonbeams 3 and the Royal Conservatory of Music Grade 1.
